Tindersticks have announced Dog Roses, their fifteenth album, for release on 12 March 2027 through City Slang. The first single, ‘Loving, Leaving’, is available now, offering the opening instalment of an eight-song record.

City Slang’s announcement introduces the album alongside plans for a 2027 European and UK tour. The band have shared an official audio upload of the single on their own YouTube channel; listen below.

A different studio, a different approach

In the label’s announcement, Stuart A. Staples describes the album as the result of a change in working environment. After leaving the studio that had been their home for 20 years, the group moved into a concealed, underground space. The shift disrupted familiar methods and pushed them to find new ways of making the record.

Staples connects that move with renewed confidence and different ambitions for the music. His account puts the practical circumstances of recording at the centre of the announcement: a new room meant rethinking a process built up over two decades.

The band’s official Bandcamp listing confirms ‘Loving, Leaving’ as the opening track, with the title song closing the album. Digital, CD and vinyl editions are listed for pre-order. The full sequence is:

  1. Loving, Leaving
  2. Intimacy
  3. Wild Sage
  4. Slow Love

  6. Your Children
  7. Tell Me About You
  8. Dog Roses

European and UK shows in 2027

The announced live plans extend into spring, after the album’s March release. The band’s listings include the London Palladium on 4 May, Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on 5 May and Manchester’s Aviva Studios on 6 May, followed by Dublin’s Vicar Street on 9 May.

Continental stops include Vienna, Zagreb, Munich, Paris, Utrecht, Brussels, Copenhagen, Hamburg and Berlin. The band’s official ticket page is linked from the label’s announcement for the full itinerary and booking information.

For now, ‘Loving, Leaving’ is the first available track from Dog Roses; the complete album follows on 12 March.
