Meshuggah’s 40th-anniversary North American tour reaches general sale today, with Testament and Blood Incantation joining the Swedish band in 2027. Billed as The Forty-Year Anomaly, the run promises a set drawn from across their career, according to the official announcement published by YouTube Theater.

Four decades, three distinct heavy bands
The anniversary gives the tour its organising idea: a look across the music that has made Meshuggah’s tightly interlocking guitars and drums such a recognisable force. The announcement points to Destroy Erase Improve, Chaosphere and Nothing among the landmark records in that history, while also placing 2022’s Immutable in the picture.
Testament and Blood Incantation are confirmed as special guests. The bill places Bay Area thrash alongside a band associated with expansive death metal, giving the evening a broader range of approaches to heaviness than a single anniversary headline set.

Toronto opens the itinerary
The band’s official tour page lists Toronto’s Coca-Cola Coliseum on 12 February, followed by Laval on 13 February. The first section continues through cities including Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Brooklyn, where the band are booked at Brooklyn Paramount on 3 March.
Later dates include Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison on 21 April, confirmed by the venue’s AXS listing, and YouTube Theater in Inglewood on 25 April. The latter venue lists a 7pm show, with doors at 6pm.
Ticket sales begin at local venue time
Ticketmaster’s official tour guide gives the general-sale start as Friday, 30 October at 10am local venue time. That means the opening time follows each venue’s location, rather than one worldwide clock. The band’s tour page provides the routing and individual ticket links.
Alongside the anniversary plans, Meshuggah are inviting fans to submit original concert, backstage and candid photographs taken between 1990 and 2015. Their website says the material is for something being prepared, adding an archival strand to the coming celebration.
