Green Lung have unveiled a new animated video for “Ozymandias”, pairing a song from Necropolitan with a suitably eerie Halloween release. The official announcement identifies illustrator Richard Wells and animator Joseph Brett as the team behind the clip, which is available on the band’s official video channel.

Shelley’s poem enters Green Lung’s world
Singer Tom Templar explains that the song adapts Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem about the fragility of human power and empire-building. He also singles it out as a favourite to play in rehearsal, connecting the new animation with material the band are looking forward to performing on their December tour.
The video develops a song that is already part of the album. Necropolitan was released on 11 September, as confirmed by Nuclear Blast’s album listing, where “Ozymandias” appears seventh in the nine-track sequence, between “Together in Death” and “Alostrael (Be My Babalon)”.
A record rooted in London’s darker history
The album takes its name from the Victorian garden cemeteries surrounding London. That setting fits a band whose songs draw on British folklore, occult imagery and the traditions of heavy rock. Their official biography places Necropolitan after Woodland Rites, Black Harvest and This Heathen Land, tracing a catalogue that has grown from the 2018 EP Free the Witch.

High on Fire and Gnome join the December dates
The Dance to the Grave Tour MMXXVI begins at Trix in Antwerp on 3 December, with High on Fire as special guests and Gnome supporting. The itinerary continues through mainland Europe before reaching London’s Roundhouse on 16 December, followed by Bristol, Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow.
Wells also designed the illustrated tour poster, giving the animation and the coming live dates a shared visual connection. The band’s official website carries the route and ticket information, while the new clip offers another way into the world of Necropolitan before those shows begin.
