Eleven songs, with a more personal focus
The forthcoming record follows 2023’s The Death We Seek. Its 11 tracks bring social commentary together with more personal writing, with singer Brian Wille describing an approach that leaves room for contrasting moods rather than treating constant heaviness as the only way to make an impact.
Guitarist Chris Wiseman produced the album, with additional production from Ricky Armellino and mixing by Jon Dolese. The band’s description of the sessions emphasises a lengthy writing process and a deliberate effort to make the songs work as a cohesive record.

‘Retributioner’ opens the campaign
The first single examines the pressure to surrender personal principles in order to get ahead, and the hostility that can grow from seeing every disagreement as a contest. It introduces a wider record whose titles include “A Wound That Never Heals”, “On Your Own”, “Lost”, “Reset the Sun” and closer “Looking at You”.
The published video credits name Errick Easterday and Chris Klumpp as directors and cinematographers, with Herrick Media handling production. The clip and the single’s streaming links are also featured on the band’s official website.
New music arrives just before the European tour
Currents are due to begin their co-headlining run with ERRA in Utrecht on 2 November, with Caskets and Aviana supporting. The route includes UK dates in Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Wolverhampton and London, taking the band back on the road as the album campaign begins.
Physical pre-orders are available through Rise Records and the band’s store, with CD and several vinyl editions listed. The official album link collects the available pre-save and order options ahead of the February release.
