Samara Joy released Live at the Blue Note L.A. on October 23, presenting her first live collection. The five-track EP was recorded during her April 2026 engagement at Blue Note Los Angeles with her touring septet.

The program includes ’Round Midnight, Yesterdays, Lush Life, No More Blues and No More Blues Reprise. Physical editions include standard vinyl and CD, with a sunburst-colored vinyl variant identified as exclusive to the United States.

A concert recording with a compact program

The recording date and release date describe different moments: April identifies the engagement captured on tape, while October marks its arrival as an EP. The venue photograph supplied with the announcement belongs to that live context.

For listeners familiar with Joy’s studio recordings, the ensemble setting offers another point of comparison. One can follow how a vocal phrase leaves space for the band, where accompaniment becomes a response, or how an instrumental passage prepares the singer’s return. These are ways to approach the recording without inventing details about a concert not attended by this publication.

The reprise in the running order also invites attention to how the program closes. It is worth hearing in sequence rather than treating it as a duplicate title to skip automatically. The official announcement below links to the EP and the artist’s touring information.
