Def Leppard announced Volume 4 on September 16, setting November 13 as the release date for the next installment of its catalog box-set series. The collection covers studio recordings from 2015 to 2023 and will be issued in vinyl and CD editions through UMR.
The central albums are Def Leppard, Diamond Star Halos and Drastic Symphonies. Joe Elliott selected additional rarities, and Ronan McHugh handled the mastering. Both formats include a hardback book with Ross Halfin photography, Paul Elliott’s liner notes and interviews with the band members.
One preview is a cover of the Beatles’ Revolution, originally recorded for an advertisement that did not use it. Its inclusion gives the rarities program a specific point of interest beyond material already available on the three main albums.
Where this box fits
The period covered moves from a self-titled studio statement to an orchestral collaboration. A useful way to approach the set is to follow how songs are presented across those settings, rather than expecting a greatest-hits sequence.
Collectors can compare the full track lists and format details in the announcement. The shared album titles do not mean every physical configuration has the same disc layout. For listeners who already own the studio releases, the rarities and accompanying documentation are the clearest reasons to inspect this edition.
