Nandi Bushell Plays “Everlong” with Foo Fighters at the Forum

Nandi Bushell joins Foo Fighters to play drums on ‘Everlong’ at the Forum in Los Angeles. Dave Grohl introduces her before the band moves into the song, connecting their earlier public musical exchanges with a shared concert performance.

Bushell’s own upload identifies the Forum appearance and explains that her father filmed the video. Its publication in August 2021 and the companion audience recording’s event details place the performance within that concert context rather than a new undated appearance.

Grohl’s spoken introduction gives the performance a beginning beyond the song itself. It identifies the guest and prepares the audience for her participation, making the transition from conversation to playing part of the full recording’s sequence.

Bushell then takes a musical role inside an established band arrangement. The drums support the song’s pace and changes in emphasis, allowing the musicians to move together through material whose recurring sections provide a common structure.

Bushell’s own concert video below is the main reference for the appearance. Watching the introduction alongside the playing connects the guest’s arrival with the musical contribution that follows, rather than leaving the story at a shared stage photograph.

Watch the performance

The drum part provides a rhythmic foundation for the guitars and vocal. Its timing has to remain connected to the other musicians, making the collaboration an ensemble task even when the audience’s attention is drawn toward the guest behind the kit.

‘Everlong’ gives the performance recognisable points of return. Repeated guitar material and changing vocal sections create a framework in which the drums can maintain continuity while responding to shifts in the song’s intensity and arrangement.

The stage setting adds scale to that work. Bushell plays within the band’s concert production, with the surrounding instruments and audience forming part of the event rather than the controlled background of an individual home drum-cover video.

The audience recording preserves its own perspective and surrounding sound. The uploader’s description identifies the filming source, helping explain why nearby reactions can be heard and why the camera’s view differs from a separately produced concert broadcast.

The source photograph captures Grohl and Bushell sharing the stage. The full video explains the musical context around that moment, showing the introduction and the guest’s move into the performance rather than presenting only their visible interaction.

Bushell’s age belongs to the historical appearance described by the source. It should not be treated as her current age each time the recording is shared again, just as an old concert upload should not be described as a newly occurring event.

The performance can be discussed without saying that every earlier drum exchange had a universally agreed winner. The concert itself provides direct evidence of the shared outcome: Grohl’s introduction and Bushell’s participation with Foo Fighters on ‘Everlong’.

The companion audience video also records the Forum ‘Everlong’ appearance and identifies the August 26, 2021 concert. It offers another view of the same musical occasion, with its own camera position and surrounding audience sound.

Foo Fighters’ official ‘Everlong’ music video is the other companion source. It belongs to a different production format and does not feature this Forum guest performance, providing a reference for the song apart from the 2021 concert event.

Those sources make it possible to distinguish the composition from this particular collaboration. The official video presents the song through its own images, while the concert recordings preserve the band playing it with Bushell in the guest drum role.

Bushell’s Forum appearance brings an earlier public musical exchange onto the Foo Fighters stage. Her own recording preserves the introduction and performance together, giving the drum contribution a clear place within this concert version of ‘Everlong’.
