I can’t listen to this song without getting quite emotional. When I was 14 I was sent to a camp with loads of other kids from around the country. They played this song every night. The staff there were handpicked to ensure we were supported mentally and emotionally. I realised later that it was a week long camp that was designed to help troubled youth deal with self esteem issues. It cost heaps but my mother paid for it because she saw what I didn’t, that I was struggling. Thank you mum, I love you.
